Born in Tartu, Estonia April 7 1939, Heli lived in Sweden and began art studies there at an early age. She immigrated to Canada in 1949, and had private art lessons while attending St. Catharines Collegiate. Heli graduated from The Ontario College of Art in Toronto.
Career

Heli commenced work as a free-lance artist, specializing in advertising illustrations. Her paintings have been displayed in galleries in Chicago,
New York, Toronto and Montreal. After a three year struggle with ovarian cancer, Heli died in August 1995.

Heli's works include portraits, realism, abstracts, nudes, landscapes, boats, animals and flowers. These include a variety of media such as oils, water colours, pastels, conte and acrylics.
